Our Story — Born From Frustration, Crafted With Passion

Every great story begins somewhere. Ours began with a simple question:

Why should we have to compromise on quality, luxury or our values just to enjoy a beautiful candle?

Two years ago, our family found ourselves asking that very question.

We were tired of spending our hard-earned money on candles that promised so much but delivered so little. Candles that smelled wonderful in the shop but offered barely a whisper of fragrance once lit. Candles that burned unevenly, leaving precious wax trapped around the sides of the jar, never to be enjoyed.

And perhaps most importantly, we were becoming increasingly concerned about what actually went into the products we were bringing into our home.

The ingredients, the fragrance oils, the animal-derived materials, the unnecessary waste and the environmental impact.

We believed there had to be a better way.

So, rather than continue searching for the perfect candle, we decided to create one ourselves.

And that was how HANDLESONS was born.

What began as a determination to make a better candle grew into something much more meaningful: a small, independent, family-run British business built on passion, integrity and a genuine love for what we create.

We didn't want to simply produce another candle.

We wanted to create an experience.

A candle that fills your home with beautiful fragrance. A candle that burns beautifully and consistently. A candle made with carefully selected ingredients, without compromising the values we believe in.

Every HANDLESONS candle is made using soy wax and carefully chosen, luxurious, paraben-free fragrance oils. Our candles and wax melts are proudly 100% vegan, with no animal-derived ingredients.

Animal welfare isn't an afterthought for us. Neither is sustainability.

They are part of who we are.

We believe luxury should be something everyone can enjoy.

That's why our collection includes beautiful, luxurious hand-blown glass vessels alongside our more affordable tin candles.

We carefully select our wicks, using cotton or wooden wicks depending on the vessel, and take pride in developing candles that deliver the rich fragrance and beautiful burn we once struggled to find.

Our products are lovingly made in small batches, because we believe quality deserves time, care and attention.

We don't believe in rushing something simply to get it out of the door.

Our commitment to sustainability doesn't end when your candle has finished burning.

We offer a jar return, cleaning and refill service, giving suitable glass vessels the opportunity to be enjoyed all over again rather than unnecessarily discarded.

Our wax melts are packaged in biodegradable bags, selected with reducing packaging waste in mind.

We know that being a responsible business is an ongoing journey, and we're always looking for ways to make thoughtful, environmentally conscious choices.
